Organic Producers are certified at a nacional level and are memeber of The Costarrican Organic Agriculture Movement (MAOCO).

   (MAOCO) is a space of agreement, exchange and meeting between different actors compromised with the development of the Costa Rican organic farming. The Movement is shaped by affiliations of producers and organic producers of the whole country, not governmental organizations that they support the sector, and state entities tied to the organic production. The Movement has developed diverse experiences of production, investigation, training, certification, promotion and commercialization of organic products, which has given like turned out a variety of developed experiences, qualified families, and productive efficient systems that go from farms in organic transition, up to systems agroecológicos consolidated. This work has been impelled from the definition of Regional Strategies of Organic farming in which the development of the sector has been visualized in medium and long term, and from that the work is structured of work movement(MAOCO) is a space for agreement, exchange and meeting between different members devoted with the development of the Costa Rican organic farming.
