The local school visit La Cusinga Eco Lodge Hotel during the year to learn about the ecological tourism business, recycling, compost, reforestation, the Ballena Marine Natinal Park, the rain forest, the local artisans, and about nature in general.

   

The school Flor de Bahia, has weekly visit to the lodge each Thursday, were one grade visits us and learns about the different topics. Uvita School visits us during the year, and we have already coordinated to do something similar to Flor de Bahia. We are contacting Ballena School and the other schools to promote the same with them. For us as neighbors of Costa Ballena and the communities of Uvita, Dominical, Bahia, Ballena, Ojochal and the other communities, it is an honor for us to invest our time in the education of the future leaders of our country. Our reward is to enjoy the expression of happiness and joy that the kids, parents and teachers show in their faces. For many years we have open our doors to the schools of Costa Ballena, Cortes, Palmar Norte & Sur, and the county of Perez Zeledon.
