In the economic field, La Cusinga Eco Lodge has always been looking for constant improvement in the general living conditions of our community. It is no wonder that many local families are enjoying a better quality of life due to the establishment of an eco lodge in their area. The lodge contributes to both direct employment (our staff) and to indirect employment (transportation and tour operators among others). It also attracts tourists who buy souvenirs from our local artists, and this results in a demand for local products. Supermarkets, hardware stores, distributors and local farmers are constantly getting sustainable business and benefits from La Cusinga Eco Lodge. La Cusinga Eco Lodge has always had the goal of providing better living conditions in this region. That is something we are constantly trying to do, and now, with the tourism boom and the expansion in Uvita Zone, we are happy to know that people are leaving not only with the good feeling that they have helped nature, but also with the feeling that they have also helped the people of Uvita. We have been a part of our communities, as a family, since 1972. We have grown with and have been a part of the positive development of our communities and the protection of the environment. La Cusinga Eco Lodge has a long standing commitment to our people and this is reflected in the top quality service our team provides and in our relationship with our economic environment… not only with our clients, but also with our local providers, schools, health clinics, sport teams and the community as a whole.
